If you want bar style nic salts that taste like a disposable, IVG and Elfliq are two of the obvious names, though they go about it in different ways. Elfliq is Elf Bar's official bottled range, giving an exact one to one replica of the world's best selling disposable flavours, while IVG's Bar Favourites recreates IVG's own disposable line and offers far broader variety, so the right pick depends on which disposable you are replacing. This guide compares them fairly.

For more on the IVG side, our guide to the IVG Bar Favourites range covers its disposable replicas. Our IVG nic salts review rates the brand.

Two routes to the same goal

Both ranges exist to solve the same problem, which is giving former disposable users their favourite flavours in a refillable bottle. They simply come at it from different starting points. Elfliq is the official nic salt line from Elf Bar, launched in late 2022, offering an exact recipe replica of the Elf Bar disposable flavours, which were the best selling disposables in the UK. IVG's Bar Favourites range does the same job for IVG's own disposable lineup, recreating the bold, iced flavours from the IVG Bar devices. Both are quality ranges in 10ml bottles, so this is a genuine head to head rather than a mismatch.

Where Elfliq wins

Elfliq's biggest strength is authenticity for Elf Bar fans. Because it is made by Elf Bar itself, the flavour inside a bottle is the exact same recipe as the matching disposable, so if you vaped an Elf Bar, Elfliq gives you a true one to one match with no compromise. That official status is a real advantage, since you are not relying on another brand's interpretation of the taste. Its best sellers, led by Blue Razz Lemonade and Watermelon, mirror the most popular Elf Bar flavours precisely. For anyone whose disposable of choice was specifically an Elf Bar, Elfliq is the most faithful option available.

Where IVG wins

IVG's advantage is breadth and its own strong bar flavours. While Bar Favourites recreates the IVG disposable lineup, the wider IVG catalogue stretches across original Nic Salts and the bold Intense Salts too, giving far more total variety than Elfliq's focused replica range. If you want options beyond the disposable replicas, such as sweet shop candy flavours or the concentrated Intense profiles, IVG simply offers more to explore. Its bar style flavours are also well regarded in their own right, with Blue Razz Lemonade and Blue Slush earning strong reviews. For variety seekers, IVG is the more expansive choice.

To explore IVG's bar style options, the IVG Nic Salts collection brings the Bar Favourites range and the rest together with mix and match multibuy deals.

What they share

The two ranges have a lot in common, which is why they are so often compared. Both are 10ml nic salts in a 50/50 blend built for low power MTL pod kits, both offer 10mg and 20mg strengths with some 5mg options and both rely on smooth salt nicotine for a gentle throat hit plus fast craving relief. Both are also widely available on the same kind of mix and match multibuy deals, so pricing is broadly similar. Interestingly, both even share a signature Blue Razz Lemonade, since it is a hugely popular profile across the whole category. The hardware and experience are essentially identical, so flavour loyalty is the deciding factor.

Which should you choose?

The simplest way to decide is to think about which disposable you are replacing. If you were an Elf Bar user, Elfliq is the natural pick because it gives you the exact official recipe with no guesswork. If you vaped IVG bars or want broader variety beyond a single brand's replicas, IVG is the stronger choice with far more to explore. For a brand new vaper with no disposable loyalty, it comes down to taste, so trying a signature flavour from each, such as their respective Blue Razz Lemonades, is a smart way to compare. Both are excellent at what they do.

If you choose IVG

Should you go with IVG, the Bar Favourites range is the place to start for disposable style tastes, led by Blue Razz Lemonade and Blue Slush. Beyond that, the original Nic Salts cover sweet shop classics and the Intense Salts deliver the boldest, most concentrated flavour, so you have plenty of room to branch out once you find your feet. Our guide on IVG flavour ranges explained maps how the families fit together, while our guide to the best IVG flavours for ex smokers is a useful starting point if you are leaving disposables behind.

What about price and availability?

On cost and stock the two ranges are very evenly matched, which keeps the choice firmly about flavour and brand loyalty. Both are widely stocked across UK retailers and both regularly appear in the same mix and match multibuy deals, so the per bottle price you pay is broadly similar whichever you choose. Neither commands a meaningful price premium over the other, meaning you will not save money by picking one over the other in most cases. Because both are so popular, finding your preferred flavour in stock is rarely a problem, while the bundle deals make it cheap to try a few from each side before settling on a favourite.

One small practical point is range size in store. Because IVG spreads its flavours across several lines, a single retailer may carry a larger spread of IVG options than Elfliq, simply because there are more of them to stock. Elfliq's range is more contained but very consistent, since every flavour ties back to a known Elf Bar profile. For most shoppers neither will leave you short of choice, so this rarely tips the decision, though it is worth knowing if maximum variety in one order matters to you.

The bottom line

IVG and Elfliq are both excellent for bar style nic salts, with different strengths. Elfliq wins on authenticity for Elf Bar fans, offering an exact official replica of the UK's best selling disposable flavours. IVG wins on variety, recreating its own bars while also offering a far larger catalogue across candy and Intense ranges. Neither is better overall, so the decision rests on which disposable you are replacing and how much variety you want, which is purely down to your own taste.
