Choosing correctly is a question of family before anything else. Geekvape organises its coils by letter or by tank name rather than around one universal fitting, so a device built for B Series heads will not seat a G Series or an M Series head. The quickest check is the coil already in your hand, because the series and the resistance are both printed on the metal body.
The coil families stocked here
B Series. The head introduced with the Aegis Boost and carried across the Boost family and several Wenax pod kits since. It is the most widely fitted Geekvape coil in the UK.
Z Series mesh. Coils for the Zeus tank line, the top airflow range Geekvape is best known for.
M Series. Mesh heads for the larger sub ohm tanks, where higher wattage and an open direct to lung draw are the point.
Aero Supermesh. Made for the Aero tank alone. Read the box carefully because Aero and Zeus heads look alike at a glance.
G Series and Mesh Mellow. Heads for the G fitting pods and the Mellow pod kit.
NS MTL for Flint and Frenzy. Restricted mouth to lung heads aimed at nic salt use in the two kits named on the pack.
Resistance, wattage and mesh
The number stamped on a coil is its resistance in ohms and it decides everything else. Heads above 1.0 ohm are mouth to lung coils that sip liquid at modest power and give the tight draw most people prefer when moving off cigarettes. Between roughly 0.6 and 0.8 ohm you get a looser restricted draw. Below 0.5 ohm you are into sub ohm territory built for warmth and volume.
Nearly all current Geekvape heads are mesh. A mesh strip presents far more heating surface than coiled round wire of the same resistance, so it ramps quickly and heats the wick evenly rather than at a few contact points. Every pack prints a recommended wattage range. Start at the bottom of it and work up.
Priming and coil life
Drip e-liquid into each wicking port until the cotton darkens, fit the head, fill the tank or pod, then leave it upright for five minutes before the first draw. Skipping that is the most common cause of a coil tasting burnt from new. Expect one to two weeks from a well treated head. Sweet dessert and candy liquids shorten that noticeably because the sucralose in them caramelises onto the mesh, while menthol and light fruits are much kinder.
Matching e-liquid to the coil
Heads above 1.0 ohm want a balanced 50/50 PG to VG liquid, which in the UK means a 10ml bottle of nic salt or freebase at up to 20mg per ml. Sub ohm mesh needs a thicker high VG shortfill at 0mg to 6mg once a nicotine shot is mixed in, since thin liquid seeps past the seals and pools in the airflow. UK rules cap nicotine e-liquid at 20mg per ml, limit nicotine bottles to 10ml and limit tanks sold with nicotine e-liquid to 2ml.

How do I know which Geekvape coil my device takes?
Pull the coil that is fitted and read the printing on its side. Geekvape marks the series and the resistance on the body, so a head marked B Series needs another B Series pack. Aegis Boost and many Wenax kits take B Series, Zeus tanks take Z Series mesh and the Aero tank takes Aero Supermesh.
How long does a Geekvape coil last?
One to two weeks is normal. Sweet dessert, custard and candy flavours cut that down because the sweetener caramelises onto the mesh, while menthol and light fruit blends can push a head past a fortnight. The signs are a dulled taste, thinner vapour and a harsher draw. Fit a fresh head rather than raising the wattage.
Why does my new coil taste burnt straight away?
Almost always because the cotton was dry when it first fired. Drip liquid into the wicking ports until they darken, fill the tank or pod, then let it stand upright for five minutes. Start at the low end of the wattage range printed on the pack. Scorched cotton never recovers.
Are Geekvape coils interchangeable between devices?
Only inside the same family. B Series heads fit devices designed around B Series and will not seat properly in a G Series or M Series device even where the diameter looks close. Forcing the wrong head usually causes leaking or a resistance the chipset cannot read.
What e-liquid suits a sub ohm mesh coil?
A high VG shortfill, commonly 70/30, at 3mg or 6mg once the nic shot is added. Sub ohm heads vaporise liquid quickly and a 50/50 blend is too thin for them, so it works past the seals and floods the airflow.
