SMOK is one of the largest vape hardware manufacturers in the world and this collection holds 17 of its complete kits, meaning a device supplied with the tank or pod and at least one coil in the box. The range runs from slim mouth to lung pens to dual battery box mod kits rated at 230W, opening at £9.99.
SMOK built its reputation on two things. The first is the TFV tank series, which put high airflow sub ohm tanks in front of ordinary vapers. The second is the Nord and RPM pod families, whose coils became a de facto standard other devices now borrow. That matters because it means replacement coils for a SMOK kit are stocked almost everywhere in the UK.
The kit types in this range
Vape pens and pod kits
The Vape Pen Nord 19 is the slim end of the range. A pen shaped body, a tight restricted draw and a coil that screws or clips into the pod. This is the format most adult smokers start with because the draw resembles a cigarette and there is nothing to configure beyond charging it and filling it.
Compact box mod kits
The Scar Mini 80W sits in the middle. A single removable cell, variable wattage up to 80W and a sub ohm tank on top. Enough power for a proper direct to lung draw without the bulk of a dual battery device.
High output dual battery kits
The Scar-18 and the G-Priv 4 are both rated at 230W, which is the figure that tells you they need two removable cells. Devices at this level give you full wattage control, a large screen interface and a big sub ohm tank. They are aimed at experienced vapers who already know what wattage their coils like.
Mouth to lung or direct to lung
The draw style decides the kit. Mouth to lung means a tight pull held in the mouth first, using coils above 1.0 ohm at low wattage with a 50/50 e-liquid such as a 10ml nic salt at up to 20mg. Direct to lung means an open pull straight to the chest, using sub ohm coils at higher wattage with a high VG shortfill at 3mg to 6mg.
Coils and running costs
The kit price is the small part of the bill. Coils are the recurring cost and SMOK families are not interchangeable, so a Nord coil will not fit an RPM pod and neither will fit a TFV tank. Check which coil family your chosen kit uses before you buy, then order spares at the same time. Expect to replace a coil every one to two weeks. Sweet dessert e-liquids shorten that considerably because the sucralose in them caramelises on the mesh.
Prime every new coil. Wet the cotton through the ports, fill the tank and leave it standing for five minutes before the first draw. Skipping that step is the single most common cause of a burnt coil on day one.
Batteries and charging
Pens and pod kits use a built in battery charged over USB. The Scar and G-Priv kits take removable 18650 cells, which are sold separately. That is deliberate. A removable cell lets you carry a charged spare rather than waiting on a cable. Cells should be bought as a married pair for a dual battery mod and carried in a plastic case.

Which SMOK kit is best for a beginner?
A slim mouth to lung device such as the Vape Pen Nord 19 is the usual starting point. The draw is tight and familiar, the wattage is fixed so there is nothing to set and the pod fills in seconds. High output kits like the Scar-18 or the G-Priv 4 are far more device than a new vaper needs and they run through e-liquid several times faster.
Are SMOK coils interchangeable between kits?
No. SMOK runs several separate coil families and they do not cross over. Nord coils fit Nord compatible pods, RPM coils fit RPM pods and the TFV tank series uses its own range again. Always check which family your device takes before ordering replacements, because the wrong coil will either not seat at all or will leak.
Do the 230W kits come with batteries?
Dual battery kits rated at 230W take two removable 18650 cells and those are normally sold separately. Buy them as a married pair, meaning the same brand, model and age, then charge and use them together. Devices with a built in battery, such as vape pens and pod kits, arrive ready to charge over USB.
What e-liquid should I use in a SMOK kit?
The coil resistance decides it. Coils above 1.0 ohm are mouth to lung coils and want a 50/50 blend such as a 10ml nic salt at up to 20mg per ml. Coils below 1.0 ohm are sub ohm coils and need a high VG shortfill at a low strength of 3mg to 6mg. Thin liquid in a sub ohm coil will flood the device.
How long does a SMOK coil last?
One to two weeks is typical. Dark or heavily sweetened e-liquids cut that down because the sucralose caramelises onto the mesh. You will notice the flavour turning dull or burnt and the vapour dropping off. Priming a new coil properly and letting it stand for five minutes before the first puff makes a noticeable difference to how long it lasts.
Are SMOK kits refillable and rechargeable?
Yes. Every kit in this collection has a rechargeable battery and a replaceable coil or pod, which is what UK law has required since single use vapes were withdrawn from sale on 1 June 2025. You fill the tank or pod yourself from a bottle, so running costs come down to e-liquid and replacement coils.
