Wotofo builds rebuildables. The brand is best known for its RDA and RTA lines, for the nexMesh approach to mesh strips and for collaboration projects developed alongside well known vaping reviewers. Rebuildables are the enthusiast end of vaping. Instead of buying a sealed coil head, you install your own wire or mesh strip, wick it with cotton and set the airflow yourself. It costs less per week to run and gives control over flavour that no stock coil can match. Everything here uses a 510 connection and is sold to over 18s only.
The formats explained
RTA
A rebuildable tank atomiser has a build deck sitting inside a glass reservoir. You build the coil, wick it into the deck and the tank feeds liquid to the cotton, so it behaves like a normal tank once set up. The Profile M RTA at £3.99 and the Serpent Elevate RTA 24mm at £4.99 are the sub ohm options. The COG MTL RTA at £4.99 is the tight draw version.
RDA
A rebuildable dripping atomiser has no tank at all. Liquid goes straight onto the cotton and you re drip every few pulls. RDAs give the most direct flavour and airflow, which is why they remain the choice for building enthusiasts. The Recurve Dual RDA 24mm is £2.99 and the Recurve V2 RDA is £4.99.
Sub ohm tank
The nexMesh Pro Sub Ohm Tank at £2.99 uses conventional replaceable mesh coil heads, so it needs no building at all. The matching nexMesh Pro Tank RBA Deck at £0.99 converts the same tank into a rebuildable, which is a useful halfway house.
MTL or sub ohm
Mouth to lung means a tight restricted draw, higher coil resistance and low wattage. The COG MTL RTA is built for that, with narrow airflow and a small deck for single fine wire coils. Sub ohm means coils below 1.0 ohm, wide airflow and a direct to lung inhale that produces far more vapour. The Profile M, Serpent Elevate and the Recurve RDAs all sit on that side.
Decks, mesh and wire
Deck layout decides what you can build. A single coil deck is simpler to wick and kinder on battery life. Dual coil decks such as the Recurve Dual produce more vapour at the cost of drinking liquid and battery. Mesh strips lay a flat sheet across the deck instead of a wound coil, which spreads heat evenly and ramps quickly. Mesh is generally the flavour choice.
Fitment and accessories
All of these atomisers use the 510 thread that every regulated mod accepts, so diameter matters for looks rather than function. A 22mm atomiser on a wide mod leaves a visible gap, while a 24mm sits flush on most box mods. The Recurve Conversion Cap 22mm at £0.99 narrows the top cap of a Recurve.
Capacity and the 2ml rule
UK regulations limit any tank sold containing nicotine e-liquid to 2ml. Rebuildables are sold empty, so glass capacity is a question of how often you refill rather than a legal problem. Nicotine e-liquid itself is capped at 20mg per ml in bottles of 10ml.

What is the difference between an RTA and an RDA?
An RTA is a rebuildable tank atomiser. The deck sits inside a glass reservoir that feeds liquid to the cotton, so once built and wicked it works like a normal tank. An RDA has no reservoir. You drip liquid straight onto the cotton every few pulls. RDAs give the most direct flavour. RTAs are far more practical daily.
Do I need to build my own coils for Wotofo tanks?
For the RTAs and RDAs in this collection, yes. That is the point of a rebuildable. The nexMesh Pro Sub Ohm Tank is the exception because it takes ready made mesh coil heads. The nexMesh Pro Tank RBA Deck at £0.99 swaps in later if you do want to build in it.
Will Wotofo tanks fit my mod?
Every atomiser in this collection uses the standard 510 threaded connection, which every regulated box mod and most pod mods accept. The only fitment question is cosmetic. A 22mm atomiser will leave a visible gap on a wide mod. The Recurve Conversion Cap lets you narrow a Recurve to 22mm.
Is mesh better than round wire?
Mesh lays a flat sheet across the deck rather than a wound coil, so it heats evenly and ramps up quickly. Most people find it gives a fuller flavour at lower wattage. Round wire is easier to install. If flavour is the priority, start with mesh.
What e-liquid should I use in a Wotofo sub ohm build?
A high VG shortfill at 0mg to 6mg. Sub ohm builds vaporise a lot of liquid per puff, so a strong nicotine level becomes harsh very quickly. Save 10mg and 20mg nic salts for a mouth to lung device such as the COG MTL RTA at a much higher coil resistance.
How do I check a build is safe before firing it?
Use an ohm reader or the resistance display on a regulated mod and confirm the reading matches what you expect from the wire. Pulse the coil at low wattage and strum out hot spots with ceramic tweezers so it glows evenly from the centre outwards. Make sure no coil leg touches the deck wall.
