Uwell coils are the replaceable heads that decide how a Uwell tank tastes, how much vapour it makes and how long it runs between changes. This collection holds 2 coil packs covering two of the brand's best known tank families, the Crown X and the Nunchaku. Both are sub ohm capable platforms, so resistance and e-liquid choice matter.
Uwell built its name on flavour focused atomiser design across the Crown tank series, the Nunchaku line and the Caliburn pod kits. Coils are consumable parts. They are meant to be replaced and cannot be returned once fitted, so a spare pack alongside your e-liquid is cheap insurance. Vaping products are sold to over 18s only.

The Uwell Crown X Replacement Coils are priced at £11.99 and are cut specifically for the Crown X. Uwell coil families are not cross compatible, so a Crown X head will not seal correctly in a Nunchaku base even though the two look similar in the hand.
Reading the resistance on a Uwell coil
Every head is stamped with a resistance in ohms and a suggested wattage window. Treat both as instructions. A head above 1.0 ohm is a mouth to lung coil. It runs at low wattage with tight airflow and suits a 50/50 PG to VG e-liquid, which in the UK means a 10ml nic salt or freebase bottle at up to 20mg per ml.
A head below 1.0 ohm is a sub ohm coil. It runs hotter, wants the airflow opened up and needs a high VG shortfill at 0mg to 6mg. Thin 50/50 liquid in a sub ohm head is the most common cause of a tank leaking from the airflow slots.
Mesh against round wire
Uwell coil families include both mesh strip and traditional wrapped wire heads. Mesh lays a flat perforated sheet against the cotton, heating a large area evenly and almost instantly. It ramps up faster and pulls more detail out of a layered flavour. Round wire heats a smaller surface more slowly, uses a little less liquid and keeps a warmer character that many vapers still prefer on tobacco blends.
Priming and the first tank
Drip e-liquid into each wicking port until the cotton darkens right through. Screw the head in, fill the tank, then stand it upright for five minutes before the first draw. Take two or three pulls with the device switched off, then begin at the low end of the printed wattage range and step up a few watts at a time. A mesh strip fired dry scorches the cotton behind it in less than a second.
Coil life, the 2ml rule and support
Plan on one to two weeks from a coil in daily use. Sweetened dessert, custard and candy flavours carry sucralose that caramelises onto the coil and can halve that. Fruits, menthols and lighter tobaccos are much kinder. Dulling flavour is the first symptom, thinner vapour the second and a burnt edge the last.

How do I stop a new coil tasting burnt?

Why is my Uwell tank leaking?
The usual cause is e-liquid that is too thin for the head fitted. A 50/50 liquid in a sub ohm coil seeps straight through the wicking ports and out of the airflow. Check the head is screwed home fully, that the sealing rings are undamaged and that the tank was not overfilled past the line. Storing a tank on its side also encourages seepage.
