OFRF Coils

Showing: 2 Results

OFRF coils are the replacement heads that keep a nexMESH pod performing at the level it did new. This collection holds 2 coil packs. Both sit on the nexMESH platform that made OFRF a name among flavour focused vapers and both are pod coils rather than tank coils, so fitment matters more than usual before you order.

OFRF develops much of its hardware alongside Wotofo, which is why one of the packs here carries both names. The second was cut for the pod OFRF produced with SMOK. Coils are consumable parts that wear out with normal use and cannot be returned once fitted. All products on this site are sold to over 18s only.

What is stocked in this collection

Two packs are listed. The Wotofo / OFRF NEXMINI Replacement Coils are priced at £6.99 and are the mesh heads for the nexMINI pod. The OFRF & SMOK NexMesh Pod Replacement Coils are priced at £7.99 and fit the pod OFRF built with SMOK. The two are not interchangeable, so read the pod name on your device before adding a pack to the basket.

What nexMESH actually changes

A traditional coil is a wrapped strand of round wire suspended in cotton, so heat radiates from a small surface and takes a moment to build. A mesh coil replaces that with a perforated strip laid flat against the wick. The heated area is far larger and far more even.

In practice you get a faster ramp up, a flatter taste curve across the life of the pod and more of the flavour note the liquid was blended for. The trade off is consumption, because mesh vaporises liquid quickly and the pod will need refilling more often.

Resistance, wattage and the right e-liquid

Resistance is printed on the coil in ohms and it dictates everything downstream. Above 1.0 ohm is a mouth to lung head. It runs at low wattage and wants a 50/50 PG to VG liquid, which in the UK means a 10ml bottle of nic salt or freebase at up to 20mg per ml. Below 1.0 ohm is a sub ohm head that runs hotter and needs a high VG shortfill at 0mg to 6mg, because thin liquid floods straight through the wicking ports.

Priming and the first fill

Drip e-liquid directly into the wicking ports until the cotton visibly darkens all the way round. Fit the coil, fill the pod, then leave the device standing upright for five minutes. Take two or three draws with it switched off. Start at the low end of the wattage range and work upwards across the first pod. Skipping the soak is the most common reason a brand new coil tastes burnt on the first puff.

Coil life, delivery and the rules

A week to a fortnight is realistic for a pod coil in daily use. Sweetened dessert, candy and cola flavours carry sucralose that caramelises onto the mesh and can halve that. Fading flavour is the first symptom, thinner vapour the second and a dry toasted taste the last.

UK delivery is free on orders over £20. Nicotine containing products must be notified to the MHRA before sale, strength is capped at 20mg per ml and nicotine bottles are limited to 10ml. To confirm which OFRF coil your pod takes, call the team on 07827 210361 between 8.30am and 4.00pm.

OFRF coil questions answered

Which pods do these OFRF coils fit?

There are two separate fitments here. The NEXMINI coils are for the nexMINI pod that OFRF developed with Wotofo. The NexMesh Pod coils are for the pod OFRF produced with SMOK. They are not interchangeable, so check the name on your device before ordering. If a coil seats without sealing, e-liquid runs into the airway and down onto the battery contacts.

What is the difference between mesh and round wire coils?

Round wire coils suspend a wrapped strand in cotton, so heat comes from a small surface and takes a moment to build. Mesh coils lay a perforated strip flat against the wick, heating a much larger area almost instantly. Mesh generally gives cleaner flavour and a more consistent taste from first puff to last, at the cost of using e-liquid faster.

How long should an OFRF coil last?

Roughly one to two weeks of daily use. Heavily sweetened dessert, candy and cola e-liquids contain sucralose that bakes onto the mesh and can cut that in half, while clear fruits and menthols are much gentler. Flavour going flat is the first sign, followed by thinner vapour and finally a burnt edge on the draw.

How do I prime a new coil properly?

Drip e-liquid into the wicking ports until the cotton darkens all the way round, fit the coil, fill the pod and leave it upright for five minutes. Take two or three draws with the device switched off to pull liquid deeper into the wick, then start at the bottom of the printed wattage range. Firing a dry mesh strip scorches cotton in under a second.

What wattage and e-liquid should I run?

Stay inside the range printed on the coil body. Heads above 1.0 ohm are mouth to lung coils and suit a 50/50 nic salt or freebase liquid at up to 20mg per ml. Heads below 1.0 ohm are sub ohm coils and need a high VG shortfill at 0mg to 6mg. Running thin liquid through a sub ohm coil is the usual cause of leaking.

Are these genuine OFRF coils and is there an age limit?

Yes, every pack listed is genuine OFRF stock rather than a copy. Vaping products may only be sold to adults aged 18 and over in the UK and orders are age verified before dispatch. UK delivery is free over £20 and the team can confirm fitment on 07827 210361 between 8.30am and 4.00pm.
