Nevoks Coils
Nevoks coils are the replaceable heating elements that keep a Nevoks pod kit tasting the way it did on the first fill. This collection holds 2 coil packs from the SPL platform Nevoks built for its Feelin and VEEGO pod systems. Resistance, wattage and wicking between them decide how much flavour you get and how long a coil survives before it turns.

Mesh, resistance and wattage
SPL coils use a mesh strip rather than wrapped round wire, so the heated surface sits flat against the cotton. Mesh reaches temperature faster and holds a flatter taste as the pod empties. The trade off is throughput, because it pulls liquid through more quickly at the same power.
Resistance is printed on the coil body in ohms. Above 1.0 ohm is a mouth to lung head that suits a 50/50 nic salt or freebase liquid at up to 20mg per ml. Below 1.0 ohm is a sub ohm head that wants more power and a high VG shortfill at 0mg to 6mg.
Priming a new Nevoks coil
Drip e-liquid into the wicking ports until the cotton darkens all the way round. Fit the coil, fill the pod, then stand the kit upright for five minutes. Take two or three draws with the device switched off, then start at the low end of the printed wattage range. Firing a dry mesh strip scorches the cotton in under a second and nothing will bring the flavour back after that.
Coil life and what shortens it
One to two weeks of daily use is realistic. Sweetened dessert, custard and candy blends carry sucralose that caramelises onto the mesh and can halve that figure, while clear fruits and menthols are far gentler. Flavour flattens first, vapour thins next and a dry toasted edge on the draw means the coil is finished.
Fitment, delivery and support
Coil families are cut around a specific pod base, so match the name on the packet to the device you own rather than judging by eye. SPL heads are not interchangeable with coils built for other manufacturers even where the outside diameter looks identical. A head that seats without sealing will weep liquid into the airway.

Why does my new coil taste burnt straight away?
Nearly always one of three things. The coil was fired before the cotton had soaked through, the wattage was set above the range printed on the body or the e-liquid is too thick for the resistance fitted. A high VG shortfill in a mouth to lung head cannot wick fast enough and the mesh runs dry between puffs.
Which e-liquid should I use with these coils?
The resistance decides it. Heads above 1.0 ohm are mouth to lung coils and want a 50/50 PG to VG liquid such as a 10ml nic salt at up to 20mg per ml. Heads below 1.0 ohm are sub ohm coils and need a high VG shortfill at 0mg to 6mg. Heavily sweetened flavours shorten the life of either type.
