How a shortfill works
A 100ml shortfill arrives as 100ml of liquid in a 120ml bottle. The 20ml of headroom is there for two 10ml nicotine shots, normally 18mg unflavoured nicotine in a 50/50 or high VG base. Add both shots and you finish with 120ml at roughly 3mg per ml. Add one shot and you get 110ml at about 1.6mg. Anyone who vapes at 0mg uses the bottle as it comes.

VG ratio and hardware
Shortfills are high VG blends, typically around 70/30 VG to PG. That thickness is deliberate. It produces dense vapour and wicks correctly in the wide channels of a sub ohm coil. Run these in a sub ohm tank or a rebuildable with a coil below 1.0 ohm. They are too thick for a small pod coil, which will struggle to wick them.
Steeping
Most fruit shortfills are ready to vape as soon as they are mixed. Sweeter and creamier blends often improve after a week or two in a cool dark cupboard because the concentrates settle into the base. Lemon Cake is the one here most likely to benefit.
Coil life with sweet liquids
Sweetened e-liquid shortens coil life. Sucralose caramelises on the wire and builds a dark crust that dulls the flavour, so a coil running Bubblegum Candy will not last as long as one running Lime Slush. Expect roughly one week from a sub ohm coil on the sweeter flavours.
