Drip Tips
A drip tip is the mouthpiece that sits on top of a tank or pod. It is the one component your mouth touches all day, so it decides how hot the vapour feels and how tight the draw is. This collection holds 13 replacement tips and caps covering Innokin, Aspire and Voopoo hardware, with prices starting at 49p.
Fitment is the first thing to settle. Most tips fall into one of two standard sizes, 510 or 810, while a handful are made for one specific tank and will not swap out for anything else. Get that right and the rest is a matter of material and bore.
The 510 and 810 fitments explained
510 tips
A 510 tip has a narrow post of around 8.5mm and is the standard on mouth to lung tanks. The narrow bore concentrates the vapour, keeps the draw tight and keeps the mouthpiece cooler. The Innokin Zenith 2, Zlide, Isub B honeycomb and T18 or T18E tips in this collection are all 510 fitments, as is the Trine Q filter style tip.
810 tips
An 810 tip, sometimes called a goon fitting, is the wider mouthpiece used on sub ohm tanks for direct to lung vaping. The bore is larger so it passes more vapour with less restriction. The Innokin Plex Tank and Z Force resin tips here are 810 fitments. An 810 tip will not sit in a 510 socket without an adaptor.
Proprietary fitments
Some tips are shaped for one device only. The Aspire Cleito 120 tip is made for the Cleito 120 tank, the Endura T20 replacement cap belongs to that kit and the Voopoo DORIC Galaxy POM tips are cut for the Galaxy pod. Check the product title against your device name rather than assuming a standard size.
Materials and why they matter
Resin tips are the decorative option. Each one is cut from a poured block so the pattern is never quite identical. Resin also stays comfortable against the lips because it conducts heat poorly. POM, also sold as delrin, is a dense engineering plastic that is almost indestructible and stays cool even on a hot sub ohm setup. Metal tips pick up heat quickly, which is why this collection leans towards resin and POM.
Choosing a bore
Bore is the internal diameter of the tip. A narrow bore restricts the draw, sharpens flavour and keeps vapour warm, which is what you want for mouth to lung. A wide bore opens everything up for a direct to lung inhale and cools the vapour on the way through. Changing the tip alone can noticeably alter how a tank feels without touching the airflow ring.
Fitting, cleaning and care
Drip tips push into an O ring rather than screwing in, so a firm straight pull removes one and a firm straight push seats the next. Twisting damages the seal. Wash tips in warm soapy water, rinse them thoroughly then let them dry fully before refitting. Do not put resin tips through a dishwasher or leave them soaking in alcohol, because both will cloud the finish.

What is the difference between a 510 and an 810 drip tip?

How do I know which drip tip fits my tank?
Look at the socket on top of the tank. A narrow opening of around 8.5mm is a 510 fitting and a wide opening of roughly 12.5mm is an 810. Some tanks use a shape unique to that model, such as the Aspire Cleito 120 or the Voopoo DORIC Galaxy pod, in which case only the tip made for that device will seat correctly.
Will changing the drip tip change how my vape tastes?
It can change how the vape feels, which people often read as a change in flavour. A narrower bore concentrates vapour and keeps it warmer, which tends to sharpen flavour perception. A wider bore cools the vapour and softens it.
What is POM and how does it compare to resin?
POM is an engineering plastic, also sold under the name delrin, that is dense, hard wearing and a poor conductor of heat. It stays cool even on a high wattage setup. Resin is the decorative option, cut from poured blocks so each piece carries a slightly different pattern.
How do I remove a stuck drip tip?
Drip tips seat on an O ring rather than a thread, so pull firmly and straight upwards rather than twisting. If it will not move, run the tank under warm water for a few seconds to soften the seal slightly and try again. Twisting a tight tip is what tears the O ring and causes leaks afterwards.
How should I clean a drip tip?
Warm soapy water, a thorough rinse then a full air dry before refitting. Avoid dishwashers and long soaks in alcohol with resin tips, because both will cloud or craze the surface. POM and stainless tips are far more tolerant of aggressive cleaning.
