Voopoo Coils
Voopoo replacement coils are the consumable part of a Voopoo pod kit or tank. The coil holds the wicking cotton and the heating element. It is the single component that decides flavour, vapour output and how tight the device draws, which is why changing resistance alters the vape more than changing the device would.
This collection holds 7 coil families covering the PnP, TPP, ITO and Uforce platforms, priced from £9.49 to £13.99 a pack. Voopoo splits its hardware across shared platforms rather than giving every device its own coil. That helps once you know which platform your kit belongs to, because one family covers several devices. It is also why ordering the wrong pack is so easy.
Identify your platform first
Voopoo prints the platform name on the coil body as well as on the box. PnP is the broadest family and appears across the Vinci and Drag pod ranges. TPP is the higher output family used by the TPP tanks and pods. ITO is the newer low wattage family found across the Argus and Doric pod kits. Uforce coils suit the Uforce tank line.
If you are unsure, pull the coil currently fitted and read the marking on the side. That is more reliable than working backwards from the device name.
The four PnP packs
The PnP name now covers four separate packs here. The standard pack is the original and the most widely compatible. PnP X coils are built for the X pod format used on later devices. PnP TW and PnP DW are newer additions. They share the PnP name yet they are not automatically interchangeable, so match the marking on your existing coil against the pack before ordering.
Resistance and wattage
Every coil carries a resistance in ohms and a recommended wattage range printed on the side. Treat that range as a boundary rather than a target. A 0.15 ohm mesh coil rated to 80W tastes flat at 40W, then scorches the cotton above its range. A 1.0 ohm or 1.2 ohm coil is a mouth to lung coil running at 10W to 15W.
Resistance also decides the e-liquid. Anything below 1.0 ohm needs a high VG shortfill at 0mg to 6mg. Anything above 1.0 ohm wants a 50/50 blend such as a 10ml nic salt, which is thin enough to wick through the smaller ports without starving the cotton.
Priming and coil lifespan
A new coil arrives dry. Firing it before the cotton has soaked through is the fastest way to ruin it and the burnt taste never comes out. Drip a few drops of e-liquid onto the exposed cotton, seat the coil, fill the pod, then leave it standing five minutes before the first proper puff.
Expect one to two weeks in normal use. Sweet and dark e-liquids shorten that because sucralose caramelises onto the mesh. Custards, cola blends and heavy desserts are the worst offenders. Fruit and menthol blends are much kinder.
Signs a coil needs changing
Flavour dulling is usually the first symptom, followed by a drop in vapour, then a distinctly burnt or peppery taste. Gurgling and spitback normally mean the coil is flooded rather than finished, which a quick blow through onto a tissue often clears.
Genuine coils, delivery and support
Counterfeit coils are a real problem in the wider market and hard to spot once the box is open. Genuine packs generally carry a scratch panel with a verification code that can be checked with the manufacturer. Buying through a UK retailer sourcing from official distribution is the simpler safeguard.
Vaping products are sold to adults aged 18 and over only. UK delivery is free on orders over £20. If you are unsure which coil family your device takes, the team can check it on 07827 210361 between 8.30am and 4.00pm.
Voopoo coil questions answered
Which Voopoo coils fit my device?
Work from the coil rather than the device. Pull the coil currently fitted and read the platform name printed on its side, then order the matching pack. Voopoo uses shared platforms such as PnP, TPP, ITO and Uforce across several kits, so one family can cover more than one device.
Are PnP and PnP X coils interchangeable?
Not reliably. They share the PnP name yet they are designed for different pod formats. The same applies to the PnP TW and PnP DW packs. Always match the marking on the coil you are replacing rather than assuming anything carrying PnP on the box will fit.
How long does a Voopoo coil last?
One to two weeks is typical in normal use. Sweet or heavily sweetened e-liquids cut that down because sucralose caramelises onto the mesh and cannot be cleaned off. Fruit and menthol blends are much easier on a coil. Priming properly and staying inside the printed wattage range are the two things most within your control.
How do I prime a new coil?
Drip a few drops of e-liquid directly onto the exposed cotton through the ports, seat the coil, then fill the pod or tank and leave it standing for five minutes. Take two or three gentle draws without pressing the fire button before the first real puff. Skipping this is the usual cause of a coil tasting burnt on day one.
What wattage should I run my coil at?
Use the range printed on the coil as a boundary. Start at the lower end and work upwards until the flavour is where you want it. Running below the range gives a weak, muted vape. Running above it scorches the cotton. Mouth to lung coils above 1.0 ohm usually sit around 10W to 15W.
Why does my new coil taste burnt straight away?
Almost always because it was fired before the cotton had fully saturated. Once the wick has scorched the taste does not come back out and the coil has to be replaced. Prime it properly, wait five minutes after filling and start at the bottom of the wattage range.
