Rebuildable vaping means installing your own coil and wicking it yourself instead of screwing in a factory sealed head. This collection holds the 13 parts that support that, covering RBA decks that convert a stock tank or pod, boro style RBA tanks, rebuildable coil heads, empty pods, conversion caps plus the cotton, wire and tools that go with them.
The appeal is control and cost. A hand built coil costs pennies in wire and cotton against a few pounds for a shop bought head. You also set the resistance, the wicking density and the ramp up yourself. The trade off is that you have to know what you are doing, because a bad build with no safety net is dangerous.
The formats explained
RBA decks and drop in builds
An RBA deck replaces the stock coil head in an existing tank or pod. It is the least disruptive way into building, since the tank, the airflow and the drip tip all stay the same. The Wotofo NexMesh Pro Tank RBA deck and the SMRT PnP rebuildable coils in this collection both work that way.
Boro and AIO RBAs
Boro devices take a removable liquid tank plus an atomiser bridge that slots into a rectangular bay. The Lost Vape Centaurus boro RBA tank is that bridge in rebuildable form, giving a single coil deck inside a leak resistant enclosure. It suits anyone wanting a pocketable device with a hand built coil.
Empty pods and conversion caps
Not everything here is a coil deck. The Lost Vape UB all in one empty pod lets you keep a spare pod loaded with a second flavour. The Wotofo Recurve 22mm conversion cap changes the airflow character of an existing RDA.
Wire, cotton and the tools
A build needs three things beyond the deck. Wire sets the resistance and the ramp up speed, with round Kanthal being the forgiving starting point and prebuilt clapton or mesh strips giving more surface area. Cotton carries the liquid to the coil. Agleted cotton with a pre tapered end saves a lot of fiddling. Tools matter more than people expect, particularly ceramic tipped tweezers for pinching a live coil safely plus a small pair of flush cutters. Several of these lines are out of stock at present.
Safety is not optional
Every build should be checked on a device or a dedicated ohm reader before it is fired. Confirm the resistance reads what you expected, check that no leg is touching the deck or the cap and only ever fire a regulated mod while the coil is still dry. Learn the continuous discharge rating of your cells and stay well inside it. Mechanical mods offer no protection against a short, so they belong only in experienced hands.
Who this collection suits
Rebuildables are not a beginner purchase. If you have never used a regulated mod, a stock coil kit is the sensible place to start. If you already replace your own coils, understand Ohm law and want lower running costs or a specific flavour profile, a drop in RBA deck is a low risk first step because the rest of the device stays familiar.

What does RBA actually stand for?
Rebuildable atomiser. In everyday use RBA usually means a deck that drops into an existing tank or pod in place of the factory coil. RTA means a rebuildable tank atomiser with its own liquid reservoir, RDA means a dripper with no tank at all and RDTA sits between the two with a reservoir below the deck.
Is building your own coils cheaper?
Yes, once the initial outlay is behind you. Wire and cotton for a single build cost pennies against a few pounds for a factory coil head. A well wicked build can be re wicked several times before the coil itself needs replacing. The deck, tools and reader are a one off cost that pays back within months.
Do I need an ohm reader?
A regulated mod will display the resistance of a build, which is enough for most people. A dedicated ohm reader is still worth having because it lets you check a build before it goes anywhere near a battery. Anyone using a mechanical mod should treat a reader as essential rather than optional, since there is no chipset to catch a short.
Can I put an RBA deck in any tank?
No. RBA decks are made for a specific coil fitting. A PnP style rebuildable head fits devices that already take PnP coils. The NexMesh Pro RBA deck fits the NexMesh Pro tank. Check the deck against your exact tank or pod model before ordering, because a deck that does not seat correctly will leak.
What resistance should I build to?
That depends on the device and the style of vaping. Mouth to lung builds usually sit above 0.8 ohm and run at low wattage, while direct to lung builds commonly land between 0.2 and 0.5 ohm. Always confirm the reading before firing.
Are rebuildables suitable for beginners?
Not as a first device. Building involves battery safety, resistance checking and wicking technique, none of which are difficult but all of which take learning. A stock coil pod kit or tank is the right starting point. A drop in RBA deck for a tank you already use is the gentlest way to move across when you are ready.
