Battery safety is the whole job

Every 18650 and 21700 cell has a continuous discharge rating published by its maker and your build has to sit comfortably below it. The rest is discipline. Use cells with intact wraps, carry spares in a case, keep threads and contacts clean. Never fire an unknown build without checking it on an ohm reader.
Choosing an atomiser to pair with it
Every tube here uses a standard 510 connection so any 510 atomiser will physically fit. The real question is whether the pairing makes electrical sense. A single coil RDA or a rebuildable MTL atomiser suits a mech aimed at restricted draws. A low resistance dual coil RDA belongs on a proven cell with a builder who has done the maths. Hybrid connections need a protruding insulated 510 pin, so a tank with a flush or recessed pin must never be fitted to one.
