How to use Pixl Duo 12 step by step

Pixl Duo 12 has two buttons (fire button + flavour switch) and a built-in puff counter. Here is the full breakdown.

Step 1: identify the buttons

The Pixl Duo 12 has two buttons. Main fire button: usually on the side of the device; same function as basic Pixl models for vaping and locking/unlocking. Flavour switch button: separate smaller button typically on top of the device; toggles between flavour A and B in the dual-chamber pod. Some Pixl Duo 12 models are auto-draw with no fire button; on these the flavour switch is the only physical button. Check the printed manual that came with your device for exact button locations.

Step 2: unlock with 5 clicks

Press the fire button five times rapidly within 2 seconds. The LED will flash to confirm. Same procedure as basic Pixl. If unsuccessful: experiment with rhythm (faster or slower clicks); check battery (red LED means low charge); reseat the pod.

Step 3: switch between flavours

After unlocking, press the flavour switch button (top of device) to toggle. The device shows which flavour is currently active via the LED display: typically a coloured light or screen icon. Each pod has two separate e-liquid chambers feeding into the same coil; the switch changes which chamber is active. You can switch as often as you like. Some users alternate puff-by-puff for variety; others stick with one flavour for the day.

Step 4: vape normally

Either press the fire button while inhaling, or just inhale on auto-draw models. Take slow 3-5 second draws (MTL technique); cigarette-style 1-2 second sharp drags cause dry hits and coughing. The flavour switch can be pressed mid-vape to change flavour for the next puff. The dual flavour design works best with complementary pairings (strawberry/menthol, lemon/lime) rather than clashing flavours.

Step 5: lock when finished

Press fire button 5 rapid clicks within 2 seconds. Same procedure unlocks and locks. Lock before putting in pocket, bag or transporting; prevents accidental firing and battery drain. The lock does NOT turn off the battery; it just prevents the fire button from heating the coil.

Puff counter and reset

Pixl Duo 12 includes a built-in puff counter. The counter shows how many inhales have been taken since the last reset; useful for tracking pod life and nicotine intake. To reset: press and hold both the fire button AND the flavour switch button simultaneously for 5 seconds. The display indicates reset confirmation. Reset is recommended when replacing the pod with a new one. Some users find the puff counter helpful for tracking when to charge (typical UK pod kit lasts 200-400 puffs per charge).

Charging

USB-C cable plugged into a 5W phone charger or laptop USB port. The Pixl Duo 12 has a 1000-1500mAh battery; full charge takes 60-90 minutes. LED indicator: red while charging, green or white when full. Use the supplied cable for best results. Never use chargers above 10W; pod kit batteries designed for low-wattage charging. Never charge unattended overnight; UK fire services advise against this. Never charge in extreme temperatures (under 0°C or over 45°C). Pass-through vaping supported but reduces battery life over time. Battery typically lasts 12-18 months of daily use.

Replacing pods

Pixl Duo 12 pods last 600-1000 puffs (4ml dual-chamber capacity). Daily heavy users replace every 2-3 days; moderate users every 4-7 days; light users every 7-10 days. Signs to replace: burnt taste; reduced vapour; e-liquid level low; flavour fading. UK Pixl Duo 12 pod refill packs cost £4-8 for 2-pack. 12 pre-filled flavour combinations available including strawberry/menthol, lemon/lime, mango/pineapple, cherry/cola, blueberry/raspberry.
